A Dalit woman was allegedly stripped, assaulted and forced to drink urine by six persons after she failed to pay ₹1,500 interest on a ₹9,000 loan in Patna.

The woman sustained head injuries in the incident and was hospitalised, said police.

In her complaint, the woman said that the accused stripped and assaulted her with a stick when she was going to fetch water from the pump.

She said that she somehow escaped from the spot and reached the police station.

“The cause of the incident was for an interest of ₹1500. Woman came to the police station on Saturday night and gave a written complaint. Her allegations in the complaint are being verified by the police. The raids are on to arrest the accused involved in the incident," said police.
