Child stuck in borewell for 24+ hours: rescue efforts continue in Vidisha, MP

Hectic rescue efforts continued in Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha on 15 March 2023 as a 7-year-old boy remained trapped in a borewell.

The child slipped into the 60-foot-deep borewell around 11 am on 14 March and got stuck at a depth of 43 feet.

Rescuers were digging a parallel pit and trying to connect the two with a tunnel.

The child will be rescued within a few hours, MP home minister Narottam Mishra said on the morning of 15 March.
