Indian space agency ISRO on August 21 shared an update on Chandrayaan-3 as the spacecraft gears up for a soft landing on the lunar surface on August 23.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, ISRO wrote, ‘Welcome, buddy!’ Ch-2 orbiter formally welcomed Ch-3 LM. Two-way communication between the two is established. MOX has now more routes to reach the LM. Update: Live telecast of Landing event begins at 17:20 Hrs. IST.
Notably, Russia's bid for the moon failed as its spacecraft Muna-25 crashed into the Moon's surface on August 20, its space agency informed.
With this, India's Chandrayaan-3 is the only spacecraft in the race for the Moon.
