Two Chinese nationals were arrested in Bihar’s East Champaran district at the Indo-Nepal border while trying to sneak into India without valid documents on July 22, as per Hindustan Times.

They were arrested near the Indian customs office when they were trying to enter India illegally.

This comes two days after a Chinese national, Yongxin Peng was arrested by officials for trying to enter into India without valid documents.

Although the motive behind the act is still unclear, officials suspect they may be involved in espionage.

Pertinently, as per officials, the duo had made a similar attempt on July 2 this year but were let off with a warning

The arrested persons have been identified as Zhao Jing and FU Cong, residents of Jiangxi province in China.
