Trouble has arisen for film-maker Vivek Agnihotri even as his latest movie 'The Kashmir Files' makes waves in the political world. A complaint has reportedly been filed at a Mumbai Police Station against Agnihotri for saying "Bhopali means homosexual".

In a recent interview, Agnihotri had reportedly said, "I grew up in Bhopal, but I am not a Bhopali. Because Bhopali has a different connotation. You can ask any Bhopali. I will explain it to you in private. If someone says he is Bhopali, it generally means he is homosexual, a person with Nawabi likings."

Journalist and celebrity public relations manager Rohit Pandey reportedly filed a complaint against the director. Pandey reportedly accused Agnihotri of disrespecting his native place Bhopal by "willingly, wantonly and maliciously calling Bhopalis as homosexuals".

Agnihotri's latest venture 'The Kashmir Files' is based on the targeting, and eventual exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley amid a rise in terrorism.
