In a chilling parallel to Delhi's Shraddha Walker murder case, a woman along with two male friends was arrested for killing her husband and his mother in Assam's Noonmati, a neighbourhood in Guwahati in July-August last year. The accused woman not only killed but chopped their bodies into pieces and stored them in the fridge, NDTV reported, quoting cops.

The woman identified as Vandana Kalita, was in an extramarital affair and her lover was involved in the killings. He even helped Kalita get rid of the bodies, the report said.

The police said three days after Kalita killed her husband Amarjyoti Dey and mother-in-law Shankari Dey, she and her lover travelled 150km from Guwahati to dump the body parts to neighbouring Meghalaya's Cherrapunji. The cops have recovered body parts.
