A dispute erupted at a housing society in Thane, Maharashtra ahead of the Islamic festival of Eid-al-Adha. After one person brought some goats to his house on June 27, other residents staged protests.
The person who faced the protests, identified as Mohseen Sheikh, said that he used to get space in the society to keep goats every year, and never slaughtered them on the property.
This year, he was not allotted space, so he took the goats to his house, as per an India Today report. After the police intervened, Sheikh took the goats out of the society.
