Writing letters in the modern age inundated with technological gizmos seems a thing of the past.

However, a woman from Kerala has set a world record by writing the longest letter to her brother on the occasion of World Brother's Day.

Krishnapriya, who hails from Kerala's Idduki district, told Times Now she was unable to be with her younger brother Krishnaprasad and even missed his calls and texts due to her hectic work schedule.

Krishnapriya then decided to compensate for her mistake by sending a handwritten letter to her brother.

She initially started writing on an A4 sheet but soon realised that she would be needing much more than that.

After completion, the total length of the letter stood at 434-metre and took her 12 hours.

Krishnapriya said that writing the letter was not pre-planned and was a co-incidence.

Krishnapriya has sent a notification of her feat to the Guinness World Record and applied under the record for the longest letter ever written.
