Kerala reported 300 of the 358 new Covid-19 cases registered in India on December 20. The state also saw three deaths.
A total of six deaths were recorded across the country in a day with two in Karnataka and one in Punjab.
The total number of active cases stands at 2669.
The latest surge in Covid cases has been attributed to the new sub-variant JN.1. States have been asked be prepared to tackle the evolving situation.
