Karnataka election: BJP releases manifesto with UCC, cooking gas cylinder, Nandini milk promises

With less than two weeks to go for voting in Karnataka, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party released its election manifesto for the state.

BJP chief JP Nadda unveiled the manifesto in Bengaluru on May 1, 2023. One of the major promises was the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code in the state.

The BJP said it will improve the "ease of living" of apartment-dwellers in Bengaluru.

The party also promised 3 free cooking gas cylinders every year to families below the poverty line. BJP said it would give half a litre of Nandini milk every day, and 5 kg grains every month to BPL families.
