Joshimath land sinking fear: PIL filed in Supreme Court

A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court demanding the present land sinking incidents in Joshimath to be declared as a National Disaster and direct the NDMA to actively support the residents of Joshimath.

The plea filed on Saturday by religious leader Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati requests the Apex Court to intervene to provide immediate finanacil assistance and compensation to the residents of Joshimath as reported by ANI

Earlier on Saturday, Uttrakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited sinking Joshimath to assess the situation on the ground. He met with the affected people and officials monitoring the situation.
