Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Jayant Chaudhary gave a shoutout to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Bharat Ratna award was announced for his grandfather and former prime minister Chaudhary Charan Singh.
"Won hearts", is what Chaudhary said on X in response to Modi's post amidst rumours gaining ground that the RLD is joining the BJP-led NDA alliance.
While an official confirmation is awaited, Chaudhary's response further fuels speculation of an impending rift with the INDIA bloc, giving a major blow to Rahul Gandhi's aspirations to fight as a united front against Modi for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
