After the recent spate of killings target killings in Jammu and Kashmir, the administration ordered transfer of Kashmiri Pandits employees to relatively 'safer' locations in the valley.

The administrations decision to make the list public has the employees worried. The staff say making public their posting order puts their lives at risk.

While the orders were removed from Directorate of School Education's site, it remained available on the website of the Rural Development Department. A report in the Indian Express says the director of the department was not aware of this.

With the recent escalation in violence, many are worried for their safety, and if the new place of posting is made public, it makes them easy targets.
