The sad news about India losing in the World Cup final led to two tragic incidents. In West Bengal's Bankura and Odisha's Jajpur, two people took their own lives after the match ended.

In Bankura, Rahul Lohar, a 23-year-old, was deeply upset by India's loss to Australia. He decided to end his life near a cinema hall late on Sunday night. His brother-in-law mentioned that Rahul was heartbroken by the match's outcome and hung himself in his room. His body was taken to the hospital for examination, and the police are looking into the incident.

In Jajpur, Odisha, another 23-year-old, Dev Ranjan Das, was found hanging from his house's terrace after the match. Dev had been receiving treatment for emotional distress, and after India's loss, he left home feeling extremely upset. The authorities are investigating his case too and are waiting for the autopsy report.
