Following New Delhi's decisive action against Islamabad in response to the "cross-border linkages of the terrorist attack" in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives and injured many others, Pakistan's official account on X has been withheld in India.

Users attempting to access the account receive a notification stating, "@GovtofPakistan has been withheld in IN in response to a legal demand." According to X's platform guidelines, an account may be withheld when the social media platform receives "a valid and properly scoped request from an authorized entity" to limit access to specific content within a particular country.

X's guidelines clarify that such withholdings are restricted to the jurisdiction issuing the legal demand or where content is deemed to violate local laws.

This development came on Thursday after a Cabinet Committee on Security meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during which India announced a series of measures targeting Pakistan.
