In a recent development, Ranjeeta Mehta, the Secretary of the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare (HSCCW), has been relieved of her duties from the position. This decision comes following orders issued by Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, which nullify the appointment orders issued on May 13, 2022, with immediate effect.

Ranjeeta Mehta's removal from her role comes amidst speculation surrounding her close association with former Chief Minister Manohar Lal.

Effective immediately, the responsibilities of overseeing the daily operations of the Haryana State Child Welfare Council will be assumed by the Department of Women and Child Welfare, Haryana, until further instructions are issued.
