IPS Rajesh Duggal, BJP MP Sunita Duggal's husband has been transferred from Gurugram. The development comes after the Election Commission of India (ECI) issued an order following a complaint, prompting the Haryana government to issue a late-night transfer order. He has been posted to the Police Headquarters in Panchkula. Duggal was serving as the Joint Commissioner in Gurugram.

According to multiple reports, while Sunita Duggal did not receive a ticket this time, citing elections in several other states including Punjab, a plea was filed to remove Duggal from the EC. Previously, complaints had also been filed against Duggal with the EC, alleging involvement in campaigning for his wife during elections. The EC had taken cognizance of these complaints as well.
