On the occasion of International Women's Day, a state-level Lakhpati Didi Mahasammelan was organized in Karnal's new grain market. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar honoured women from the Karnal Lok Sabha constituency during the event. The CM stated that the Prime Minister has devised plans to empower sisters and turn them into millionaires. Approximately three lakh women from Haryana are part of this initiative, with 5,000 sisters set to receive drone training. Additionally, 102 women have undergone training, securing jobs in various departments.
Emphasizing women's empowerment, CM Khattar mentioned initiatives ranging from kitchen skills to technology. He highlighted that when women become prosperous, their families also become partners in their success. The goal is to enhance women's skills, making them self-reliant.
Haryana has formed 500 self-help groups producing various goods, with shared markets planned in every town. The initiative commenced in Karnal and is set to expand to Fatehabad. Women will be engaged in drone-based distribution of urea and medicines, aiming to modernize traditional practices.
Khattar also shared plans to open a thousand free stores, prioritizing women, to strengthen their families. The Chief Minister aims to turn 258,000 sisters into Lakhpati Didis, with 50,000 already earning a lakh per month. He also announced the opening of a thousand interest-free stores, with a focus on women, to empower their families.
