24-hour electricity in 5805 villages of Haryana: CS Sanjeev Kaushal

Haryana Chief Secretary, Sanjeev Kaushal stated that by the Prime Minister's directives, two villages in the state will be completely reliant on solar energy as pilot projects. This is aimed at maximising the use of solar energy.

The Chief Secretary was presiding over a meeting with the officers of the power utilities to reduce line losses in power utilities and to ensure uninterrupted supply to consumers today.

Sanjeev Kaushal said that electricity supply is provided round the clock in 5805 villages of Haryana by Power utilities of Haryana. To ensure uninterrupted 24-hour power supply to consumers, Uttar and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam are being upgraded to 2245 feeders, he added.

He emphasised continuous monitoring of feeder operations at the micro level. Apart from this, Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon (MGJG) Scheme should also be reviewed regularly.
