Gyanvapi mosque case: Hindu petitioner wants to end life, writes to President

One of the Hindu petitioners in the Gyanvapi mosque-Shringar Gauri temple case has written to the President of India seeking permission for euthanasia.

Rakhi Singh is one of the petitioners demanding the right to worship Shringar Gauri daily on the Gyanvapi mosque premises in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

She claimed that the other Hindu petitioners in the case had defamed her by claiming that she was withdrawing the case.

Rakhi said that this had caused her immense mental pain and agony, and so, she should be allowed to "attain ultimate peace by sleeping eternally".
