A canopy at Rajkot airport’s passenger pickup and drop area collapsed amid heavy rainfall on Saturday.
No injuries or casualties were immediately reported in the incident. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The incident comes a day after a section of the roof at Delhi’s airport Terminal 1 collapsed, killing one person and injuring multiple others.
Following the tragedy, the civil aviation ministry ordered a thorough inspection of the structural strength of all airports in the country.
