Between May 22 and 24, Jammu and Kashmir will host possibly its biggest international event since the revocation of its special status in August 2019. This is a G20 tourism working group meeting.

However, many G20 member countries, as well as guest nations invited by India, will be sending lower-level officials rather than senior delegations, as per a Hindustan Times report.

These countries are likely to include Saudi Arabia and Mexico. They might send officials from their embassies in Delhi, rather than government functionaries from back home, the report said.
