Cochin University stampede: four students dead, at least 60 injured

Four students died and several were injured in a stampede at University of Science And Technology in Cochin. Kerala Health Minister Veena George said the tragedy occurred during the university's anniversary celebrations and two boys and girls were among the dead.

Health officials said that at least 60 injured students were brought to Kalamassery Medical College and two among them are critically injured.

According to the police, the stampede happened during a musical event at the open-air auditorium inside the university. A lot of people, including students from other colleges, were present at the event.
