Former Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu arrested in corruption case

Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu Desam Party N Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by the Nandyal District Police in the early hours of Saturday, Hindustan Times reported quoting a TDP spokesperson.

According to reports, Naidu was arrested in the AP Skill Development Corporation scam, in which he is accused No. 1.

A notice to that effect was handed over to him.

Stating that it is a non-bailable offence, the notice said Chandrababu Naidu cannot be released on bail.

A First Information Report in the case was lodged in 2021. He is being shifted to Vijayawada, as per reports.
