Loud explosions were reported in Jammu, followed by the sound of sirens echoing through the area. Similar sirens were also heard in Kupwara, a town located over 300 kilometers away. Both towns are currently experiencing blackouts.

Local residents have shared cellphone videos that appear to show lights streaking across the sky, suggesting potential interceptions by drones.
