Enforcement Directorate raids West Bengal Minister Rathin Ghosh's house in recruitment 'scam'

A day after arresting Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on October 5 conducted a raid at the residence of West Bengal Food Minister Rathin Ghosh.

According to India Today, at least 13 locations in Kolkata were searched by the probe agency.

The raids were conducted in connection with an alleged recruitment scam in Madhyamgram Municipality.

The TMC leader is facing allegations of involvement in a scam to recruit ineligible candidates to government jobs.

Ghosh and his associates have been accused of taking bribes from candidates in exchange for jobs. No arrests have been made so far.
