Dog attacks boy in lift days after Noida authority brought in new guidelines

In yet another incident of a dog attack from Noida, a school boy was bitten by a pet dog inside a lift of his housing society in Greater Noida.

The CCTV footage from La Residentia society shows the dog biting the kid's hand, who is accompanied by his mother.  

The dog pulled away after its owner took hold of its leash.

Incidents of dog attacks have been on the rise in Noida, especially in housing societies.  

Recently, the Noida authority also introduced guidelines that require residents to register their dogs or cats by January 31, 2022, failure of which will amount to a fine.

In cases where injury is caused due to a pet, Rs 10,000 fine will be imposed.

Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari also announced that sterlisation or anti rabies vaccination of dogs is mandatory, and those violating new guildelines will we made to pay Rs 2000 penalty.
