Narendra Modi submits resignation to President Droupadi Murmu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Droupadi Murmu on 5th of June and tendered his resignation, along with the Council of Ministers. President Murmu accepted the resignation, and asked Modi to remain the prime minister until the new government assumes office. Which means that he will be caretaker PM until June 8, when he is expected to take oath for the third consecutive time. In doing so, he will the first the leader after Jawahar Lal Nehru to take charge as the prime minister for third consecutive time.
