Lok Sabha polls sixth phase: Kanhaiya Kumar vs Manoj Tiwari, Bansuri Swaraj's poll debut

As many as 889 candidates are in the fray for the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha election. Polling is being held across 6 states and 2 union territories, with a special focus on the national capital Delhi. 

In northeast Delhi, Congress' Kanhaiya Kumar is taking on the incumbent MP and BJP leader Manoj Tiwari, making it one of the closely-watched contests. The 2024 election marks Kanhaiya's second attempt at Lok Sabha seat, following his unsuccessful stint in the 2019 election.

In the New Delhi constituency, former union minister Sushma Swaraj's daughter Bansuri Swaraj is contesting against AAP's Somnath Bharti.

In the neighbouring Haryana state, former chief minister and BJP heavyweight Manohar Lal Khattar is facing off against Congress's Divyanshu Budhiraja for the Karnal seat.

From Jammu and Kashmir, ex-CM Mehbooba Mufti is contesting from Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat. She is up against  National Conference candidate and religious leader Mian Altaf Larvi.

In Odisha's Puri, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra is contesting against BJD's Arup Patnaik and Congress' Jay Narayan Patnaik.

In Odisha's Sambalpur, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is facing off against BJD's second-in-command Pranab Prakash Das.
