Days after a mega farmer march was called off in Maharashtra, a 'kisan mahapanchayat' is set to be held in Delhi on 20 March 2023.
Around 15,000 to 20,000 people are expected to take part in the demonstration at Ramlila Maidan.
The objectives include pressing the government for a legal guarantee on minimum support price (MSP), withdrawal of the Electricity Bill, loan waiver, and compensation for deaths during the year-long farmer protest.
They also want free power for agricultural purposes and 300 units for rural households.
