Delhi relaxes Covid curbs: Schools and colleges to reopen, pvt offices can have 100% staff

The Delhi government on Friday decided to reopen colleges and coaching centres along with schools for class 9-12 from February 7 amid dipping Covid cases in the city.

Schools will reopen from 7th Feb for classes 9-12. Classes for Nursery to 8 will reopen from 14th February.

The night curfew will, however, continue in the Capital for now, but it will be imposed from 11 pm instead of 10 pm.

The gyms have also been allowed to reopen with certain restrictions, and restaurants can now stay open till 11 pm.

In another important decision, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority has exempted drivers who are alone in vehicles from wearing masks.

The government has also cleared resumption of offices with 100 percent attendance.

The national Capital had logged 3,000 Covid cases with a positivity rate of under 5% on Thursday.
