The acting president of Congress' women's wing is being heavily criticised after a video showing her spitting at police officers on duty emerged on social media.
Netta D'Souza was protesting against the Enforcement Directorate's questioning of Rahul Gandhi when the security personnel tried to put her into a bus.
A video shared by news agency ANI shows D'Souza standing at the entrance of the bus and mouthing what seem like abuses and then spitting at the officers.
Calling the act shameful and disgusting, the BJP has asked the Gandhis to act against her.
The incident comes close on the heels of a video showing senior Congress leader Renuka Chowdhury grabbing the collar of a policeman in Hyderabad. She later clarified saying she was trying to hold the officer's shoulder but lost her balance.
