The demolition drive in Nuh following the communal clashes that erupted on July 31 has been suspended after an order from the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Denying reports of targetting specific individuals in the aftermath of the violence, Nuh authorities have said that the razed structures were built on encroached land.

According to officials, 162 illegally built permanent and 591 makeshift structures were razed in four days.
