Brother of BJP MP linked to Parliament breach arrested for felling trees

Vikram Simha, brother of BJP MP Pratap Simha, has been arrested in connection with felling of trees worth crores in Karnataka's Hassan district. He was arrested on Saturday from Bengaluru. The BJP parliamentarian, who represents Mysore-Kodagu, is the one who has been linked to the recent security breach in Lok Sabha. He is facing allegations of providing Parliament passes to the intruders who set off smoke cans inside the House on December 13.

According to media reports, as many as 126 trees worth crores were felled in Hassan and transported elsewhere. Vikram Simha was traced by forest officials through electronic surveillance.
