Bomb threat call for Hyderabad-Chennai flight found to be fake; late passenger's bid to delay plane: cops

A bomb threat call for a Hyderabad-to-Chennai passenger flight, which caused alarm at the airport on 20 February 2023, later turned out to be a hoax.

The call was allegedly made by a passenger who was late for the flight, and was denied boarding. After he allegedly made the call, airport security evacuated the passengers and searched the plane.

Following the search, it was concluded that the threat was a hoax, and the passenger running late was arrested.
