Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann visited Sidhu Moose Wala's house on Friday, days after the popular Punjabi singer com Congress leader was shot dead.
Mann reached Moosa village to express his condolences to the bereaved family amid heavy security.
Punjab CM had to face slogan-shouting protesters on Friday morning who tried to stop him from entering the village.
Punjab's AAP government came under fire after Moose Wala was shot dead by some unidentified assailants in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29.
Bhagwant Mann's government was criticised for cutting back on the security cover of over 400 VIPs.

Moose Wala's mother also reportedly lashed out at the government for the same.
However, Punjab has now decided to restore the security covers of 424 VIPs from June 7.
