A Bengaluru woman shared harrowing details of sexual harassment by a Rapido bike rider. The woman shared the ordeal on Reddit and said that she booked a Rapido bike around 8.30 pm on a Saturday when she was travelling from Tin Factory to Koramangala.

She wrote in her post, "Initially he said his phone battery is dead so he needs my phone to be kept in that stand and see maps. I gave. Later he asked about where I am from, where is my family etc. a lot of drivers are chattty so I simply was replying”.

She further mentioned, "The situation took a dark turn when they stopped at a petrol pump to refill, and she claimed that the driver crossed her thighs twice while retrieving a key from beneath the backseat, leaving her horrified. The distress continued as, after some time, he allegedly sat closely over her inner thighs, pressing against her, causing pain. I was so scared. I couldn’t even ask him what he was doing. It went on for around 20 minutes till we reached a crowded area. I was mortified"

The woman further said that later on when they came near Ejipura and traffic was there in the inner lanes that "a**hole had the audacity to rub his feet with mine. In my mind, I was simply saying prayers coz I knew it was just 3 km more now and I’m home.

She further continued, "It was only then that she requested her phone back and asked him to stop. The ordeal stopped after 7-8 mins as I reached my place and immediately got down."

The woman subsequently expressed her frustration about this incident and reported the matter to Rapido customer care. However, the response that she got was unsatisfactory.
