Bengaluru, Nov 11 (PTI): A legal case has been initiated against two women under the charge of abetment of suicide after a male flatmate was discovered deceased in their shared rented apartment in Bengaluru, the police reported on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Vishnu C.P., a 39-year-old from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

He had been employed as a technician at a medical transcription company in Bengaluru for more than four years, according to the authorities.

Vishnu was found dead by hanging in the bathroom of the apartment on November 7.

No suicide note was found at the location, the police stated.

Authorities explained that Vishnu shared the flat with two female friends.

In a complaint, Vishnu’s younger brother claimed that his sibling had recently been in a dispute with the two women, noting that one of them was romantically involved with his brother.

Following the complaint, a case regarding abetment of suicide under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been filed against the two women.

Police are actively investigating the complaints and allegations presented.
