In a sheer case of apparent negligence, a helicopter carrying former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa faced a struggle and briefly aborted its landing in Karnataka's Kalaburagi on Monday due to the plastic sheets and other waste on the ground.
A video shared by news agency ANI showed the chopper over the helipad trying to land but the area quickly got filled with flying plastic sheets and bags, forcing the pilot to keep hovering in the air.
The helicopter later safely landed at the same helipad after the helipad was cleared of the waste, said Isha Pant, Superintendent of Police, Kalaburagi.
