Ashoka University students raise slogans against Brahmins & Baniyas in viral video, varsity reacts

Videos of Ashoka University students raising slogans against Brahmin and Baniya communities are doing rounds on the internet. In the viral video, the students were heard raising slogans such as 'We need caste census' and 'Brahmin-Baniyawaad Murdabad.'

Former Infosys Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Mohandas Pai reacted to the viral videos by calling them shocking. He also tagged Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, asking the government to look into why such hatred is there. 

Ashoka University released a statement, stating that all measures would be taken to ensure that peace and harmony on the campus were not disturbed. The statement further read, "Such actions which made the atmosphere intimidating and hostile to individuals or groups were considered serious offences.
