Ammonia leak reported from factory in Haryana; locals complain of breathing issues, vomiting

A gas leak was reported late night at a factory in Jhajjar, Haryana. Ammonia leak was reported from a factory that makes 'kathha'. Locals living in the area complained of breathing issues and vomiting. 

The situation was brought under control by the police and administrative authorities who reached the spot after receiving information about the leak.

The fire department evacuated the factory. People were advised to wear masks and some were shifted to hospitals. 

"Incident of ammonia gas leakage reported. Three ambulances and 3 to 4 fire brigades are at the spot. Advised people to wear masks," said Jag Niwas, Deputy Commissioner, Jhajjar.
