The driver of the luxury car, Tathya Patel who ran over a crowd killing 9 people on the ISKCON flyover in Gujarat's Ahmedabad was arrested on Thursday.
The police took Patel and his father to the spot where he ran over the crowd. The accused is reportedly a rapper and has a Youtube Channel.
The deceased were among the people who had gathered at an accident site when the speeding car drove into them
Over a dozen people were left injured in the crash and were rushed to the hospital.
Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel announced a compensation of ₹4 lakh for the families of each deceased, and ₹50,000 for the injured.
