8 dead as EV showroom goes up in flames in Hyderabad

A major fire broke out in an electric bike showroom in Secunderabad which left eight people dead and several others injured. 

According to reports, the fire broke out at an electric scooter recharging unit on the ground floor of a building, which then spread to the first and second floors. 

The fire broke out at Ruby Electrical Scooter Showroom located near the Passport office at Secunderabad. 

Hyderabad Commissioner CV Anand said in attempt to save their lives many people jumped from the building and were rescued by locals.

Of the 25 people who were trapped in the building, 15 managed to escape, two of whom jumped out of a window.
