With memories of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria still fresh, the tremors which shook many parts of north India on 21 March 2023 caused much alarm.
However, it was the sixth quake to have affected India in the month of March, according to a report in the Hindustan Times.
Between March 2 and 12, five quakes with magnitudes ranging from 4.0 to 4.9 shook different parts of India after originating either within the country, or in nearby areas.
