1993 train blasts accused Abdul Karim Tunda acquitted

Abdul Karim Tunda, the main accused in the 1993 serial blasts case has been acquitted by a court in Rajasthan citing lack of evidence against him. Two other accused in the case have been convicted and given life imprisonment.

All three were accused in the bomb blasts that took place on multiple trains in Lucknow, Kanpur, Hyderabad, Surat and Mumbai on December 6, 1993. Two people were killed and several injured in the blasts.
