The South Asia State of Minorities Report 2020 has found that India has become increasingly intolerant of dissenters as well as religious minorities. The report comes at a time when anti-govt protests of any kind are labelled as anti-national and international conspiracy by the govt, its supporters and media alike. The report has stated that India has become a "dangerous and violent space for Muslim minorities". This year has seen increasing attacks on minorities first in the wake of the anti-CAA-NRC protests and later in form of the outrageous "love jihad" laws in many states.
