India crosses landmark of 90 crore Covid-19 vaccinations

Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted that India crossed the landmark of 90 crore Covid-19 vaccinations on Saturday. 

According to the government, 69%of the country's adult population has now received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 25% has taken both doses.

India recorded 26,727 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the total tally to 3,37,66,707. 277 deaths were reported as well resulting in total fatalities to be 4,48,339. 

Active cases amount to less than 0.82% of total infections---the lowest since March 2020. 

The national recovery rate was recorded at 97.86% with at least 28,246 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
