India crosses 145 crore Covid-19 vaccinations milestone

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Friday announced that India has crossed the milestone of 145 crore Covid vaccinations. 

He also tweeted his gratitude to doctors, scientists, healthcare & frontline workers for displaying immense grit, determination & resolve. 

The countrywide vaccination drive was rolled out on January 16 with healthcare workers getting inoculated in the first phase.

Vaccination for children between the ages of 15-18 will begin from January 3. Healthcare workers, frontline workers and those above 60 with co-morbidities will be able to take booster dose or precaution dose from January 10 if they meet the eligibility criteria,
