India reported 25,404 fresh cases of Covid on Tuesday, taking the cumulative total of the cases in the country to over 3.33 crore, as per the health ministry. The new cases recorded are 6.78 per cent lower compared to Monday.
The death toll due to the viral disease shot up to over 4.43 lakh with 339 more people succumbing to it, the Union health ministry said.
At 3,62,207, active cases constitute 1.09% of total cases, while the national Covid recovery rate stands at 97.54%.
The daily positivity rate, which has been less than 3 per cent for the last 15 days, now stands at 1.78 per cent while the weekly positivity rate has been less than 3 per cent for the last 81 days.
Of the fresh Covid cases, Kerala has reported over 15,058 and 99 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Further, over 75.22 crore vaccine doses have been administered since the nationwide vaccination drive began earlier this year.
