India reported 42,909 new Covid-19 cases on Monday taking the total tally of the coronavirus cases to 32,737,939 while active cases registered an increase for the sixth consecutive day, according to the Health Ministry dashboard.
An increase of 7,766 cases has been recorded in the active Covid-10 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
The death toll has climbed to over 4.38 lakh with 380 fresh fatalities, which include 131 from Maharashtra and 75 from Kerala.
The ministry said that 34,763 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours while the recovery rate increased to 97.51 per cent.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 3.02 per cent.
The govt also informed that 63.43 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccination drive.
